I understand that there are often many questions when purchasing a piece of fine jewelry, here are a few answers to many frequently asked questions!

what metals do you use?
all em jono jewelry is made from solid 100% recycled precious metals, these primarily include .925 sterling silver, 10k yellow gold and 14k yellow gold.
always solid, never plated
custom pieces can be made from other metals including higher karat gold, white gold & platinum.
Do you use natural or lab created stones?
all em jono stones are natural!
in regards to diamonds, all diamonds I use are natural post-consumer recycled. this means the diamonds have been already circulated in the market and have been resold, basically the thrifted version of a diamond! there are many opinions of ethics when it comes to natural diamonds but I find this to be the most ethical option as lab grown uses a great amount of energy to produce.
I use ethically sourced materials as much as possible, this means there is clarity from mine to market and the practices are held to a high standard all along the way!
do you offer resizes?
yes I do!
I understand that ring size can be hard to get exact, I offer one complimentary resize I only ask that the customer cover shipping costs
that said, some designs may not be eligible for resizing due to factors such as shape, thickness, stone placement, etc. feel free to inquire at emjonostudio@gmail.com
do you accept returns?
due to the handmade nature of our pieces, all sales are final and returns are not accepted. we do offer cancellation within 24 hours of purchase; exchanges or store credit may be available on a case-by-case basis, contact emjonostudio@gmail.com with any questions.
why hasnt my order shipped yet?
made-to-order pieces take about 2-4 weeks to create, as I make each piece by hand it is important that I put the same care and attention to every order, your patience while I make your piece is greatly appreciated! if there are ever any delays due to factors out of my control I will reach out personally to keep you updated.
OOAK (one-of-a-kind) pieces are ready to ship and will be sent out as soon as possible, as I am a one-woman operation this can take up to a week to process, pack and ship out. I will reach out if there are any delays expected.

I ship to all states within the United States!

how do i care for my jewelry?
even with the solid natural of the pieces, jewelry needs to be cared for!
sterling silver does tarnish due to the alloys included, these alloys make the metal more durable but can react with different chemicals in lotions, perfumes, cleaning products and even the pH of your skin. thankfully, any tarnishing to metal can usually be easily removed! you can use toothpaste and a soft bristle plastic toothbrush and gently scrub the metal and the tarnish should come right off.
to clean behind stones, use a mild dish soap and warm water. if there is some cloudiness that is not able to be removed with this, I ensure your stone is still perfectly fine! I do recommend taking the piece to any local jeweler and having them cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner. if you are local to NYC feel free to email me to set up a time to bring your piece by my studio and I will clean it for you!
it is recommended to take jewelry off when in contact with lotions or chemicals and clean regularly especially for pieces with stones to ensure the back is clean and the stone shines brightly
can you make a ring i found online for cheaper?
nope!
I don’t replicate or duplicate other designers’ work. While I love seeing inspiration images to understand your style and vision, all of my pieces are original designs created specifically for each client.
Custom pieces include premiums that many pieces you may find online do not include. I handmake each piece specifically for you with careful attention to detail, design, and craftsmanship throughout, which is reflected in the price of each piece.
