all em jono pieces are either solid gold or solid sterling silver, never plated.

FOR GOLD: the color will never fade, though it is a soft metal so normal wear can be expected especially if you are rough on your jewelry.

FOR SILVER: silver does tarnish though thankfully it comes off very easily, use a gentle toothbrush with dish soap or even toothpaste (yes toothpaste) and lightly scrub the metal and it will come right off. avoid applying lotions or using harsh chemicals while wearing your piece to help keep it from tarnishing. similar to gold the metal is fairly soft so normal wear can be expected especially if you are rough on your jewelry.
